The Identicom is designed to be a covert lone worker protection alarm for use by people who are at risk from harm from other people in their workplace. It is for this reason that it has enjoyed so much support from the NHS as many of their staff put themselves in potentially dangerous one to one situations on a regular basis.
The key advantage of this device is that it allows a user to activate a red alert discreetly. The Identicom can still be used with People Locator ADVANCE as it has a secondary Amber alert allowing the user to record their location and start a timer prior to entering premises. A standard Industry size Identity card is simply slotted into the device, and it can be worn on a clip or a lanyard. The lanyard also acts as a rip alarm, so if the device is torn off it will generate the red alert.
